Pete Dennis is a Director of CMD and is our key strategist and decision maker. With over 30 years of providing commercial and technical guidance and advice to numerous blue chip multi national organisations around the World.

Having held executive level posts for market leading companies as well as acting as a senior consultant for the last 10 years Pete is experienced in dealing at all levels of an organisation, providing a vast range of high value services ranging from programme management of first of their kind services and technologies, to training delivery and programme personnel through to presenting key strategy papers to Board level executives.

Being a Chartered Engineer by background he has an analytical mind and a keen eye for detail. A specialist in the management of major contracts, programmes and projects within timescale and budget. In addition to his extensive technical knowledge, his strength lies in the effective motivation of multi-disciplined teams and liaison with other operational groups to achieve a successful co-ordination and delivery.

He offers an excellent record of significant contribution to profitable growth through improving financial performance, operational procedures and key performance indicators.

He was one of the key consultants in the formation and management of the new generation of railway infrastructure contracts actively pursuing turning "partnership ideals" into "practical realities" within the sectors he is engaged.

Paul Carter Hemlin is a Director of CMD. Having worked as a Commercial / Contract Manager for 14 years, Paul specialises in IT Services, Outsourcing, Offshoring and High-Tech contracts where he has considerable experience.

He has influenced some of the largest, high profile IT deals in the UK with global service providers on high-value private and public sector accounts and has an insight into best practice contracting and commercial innovation across a wide range of market sectors and clients.

Commercially astute with an eye for detail and an analytical approach to problem solving, he has managed IT contracts from ‘cradle to grave’, working both buy and sell side. Paul is experienced in sales / bid scenarios, deal origination, contract award and post-award contract management.

With a Master’s Degree in Law and Arbitration and as a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators he is skilled in advising in commercial disputes and claims.

Paul has spoken at conferences and events in numerous countries and writes contracts and legal columns in the press and on the internet. He is a guest lecturer at Manchester University’s School of Business on the MBA and MSc Commercial Management programmes.
